Don’t Live in a Flood Zone

There’s a 1967 song entitled Don’t Sleep in the Subway sung by Petula Clark, which is a fine example of taking the time to tell people something they should not have to be told at all. So, here I go telling you: Don’t live in a flood zone! You should not have to be told that at all.

Here are unedited photographs I took in Las Vegas, Nevada. These show you in rather obvious ways why you should not have to be told: Don’t live in a flood zone. I shot these photographs in Las Vegas zip code 89142, which is one of those places in the Mojave Desert where you can easily find a flood zone not to live in.
