There’s a 1967 song entitled Don’t Sleep in the Subway sung by Petula Clark, which is a fine example of taking the time to tell people something they should not have to be told at all.
So, here I go telling you: Don’t live in a flood zone. You should not have to be told that at all.
Here are unedited photographs I took in Las Vegas, Nevada. These show you in rather obvious ways why you should not have to be told: Don’t live in a flood zone.
All of these photographs were taken in Las Vegas zip code 89142, which is one of those places in the Mojave Desert where you can easily find a flood zone not to live in.
There was one fatality from the September 2012 flash flooding in the Las Vegas Valley. These photographs were taken by Woody Goulart on the east side of Las Vegas during 2012. (Return to Westward Ho.)
