The 1970s gave us the cannabis comedy duo Cheech & Chong and a famous cult comedy recording released on vinyl called “A Child’s Garden of Grass.”

Ron Jacobs from 93/KHJ radio in Hollywood, a cannabis advocate from the illegal-for-all era, came up with the idea for what was subtitled a “pre-legalization comedy.” This highly unusual recording is best known for featuring vocal performances by the surreal sketch comedy team, The Firesign Theatre.
