But, yes, Hollywood also happens to be a specific region within the city limits of Los Angeles, California.<\/p>\n<p>On the map below, you can easily find Paramount Studios in the bottom right. A convergence of <strong>radio<\/strong> (a terrestrial means of broadcasting audio signals to individual receivers) and <strong>rock and roll<\/strong>\u2014a style of popular American music began in the 1950s. It was pushed into sharp focus in 1965 at one radio station, KHJ, with offices and studios in Hollywood at 5515 Melrose Avenue next to Paramount Pictures.<\/p>\n<h2>Neon Fun Jungle<\/h2>\n<p>This catchy and sarcastic nickname for Las Angeles was coined in the 1960s by The Real Don Steele and spoken in his own voice on the air on KHJ.
